Absolutely beautiful, every song has a neat custom transition, sleeves and cover look absolutely amazing and my copy has almost no crackles.
-
Curious to know how it sounds. Copy that I have is sealed. Likely might stay that way considering it’s 1/500
-
Highly recommended, the packaging is beautiful. The most important aspect about this record is that it sounds different than the digital release. The mixing and mastering was refined just for the vinyl release which makes it sound better in my opinion. Every song has a unique transition too which is really neat. 'Dying Is Absolutely Safe' ends in a locked groove which is cool!
-
Absolutely beautiful variant! Very little surface noise, and the transitions are so clean! I love that the songs fade into each other. Probably one of my top 3 in my collection, if not my favorite.
-
Have seen some people say there’s issues with some presses of this LP, but my copy of this variant plays great! Amazing sound and album!

Even though my order does indeed say 'Red & Black Marble [Cherry Bomb Splash]' it is much closer in color to the 'Red Marbled [Bloody Mary]'
Anyone else have this? -
Pretty dirty highs, cymbals are just awful, vocals is rather compressed. Vinyl itself looks cool but sound is meh.

Edited 4 years agoIt's kind of strange, but this album on vinyl sounds way better than mp3 version (even on my low-tier record player). Apart from extended intros and outros along with smooth transitions between songs, the overall mix is much clearer than digital version which is full of noise and instruments cancelling each other.

Edited 4 years agoTHE VINYL -
Very good sound and tone, nice heavy discs, but not well manufactured. My first copy arrived scratched and damaged right out of the packaging. Emailed the label for a new copy. My second copy wasn't much better. Both copies have crackling in between every track and sporadic pops. "Dead Butterflies" has two pops so bad that it skips on one copy. Still not up to my standards, but they surely will not send me a third copy of the album. After going through two myself, I'm going to assume all copies have crackling, surface noise, and at least half a dozen pops.
The LP has exclusive qualities. Some songs are alternate cuts, varying from the CD. For example, on the vinyl only, "Libertine" has an alternate ending that morphs into "Goliath", which I absolutely love. Additionally, the final track of the album, "Dying Is Absolutely Safe", intentionally ends in a looped groove or locked groove, causing the track to repeat the final notes of the song over and over. These vinyl exclusive qualities are present on all pressings.
Sides A and D have over an inch of dead space between the music and label. Lots of wasted space for an hour-long album album cut at 33rpm. Could've been three sides. About 22 minutes per side is easily doable without any compression or hampering of music quality.
THE MUSIC -
A massive departure from Holy Hell. Different guitar progressions, much simpler drums, vocals reduced to more of a rough rock voice as opposed to prolonged screaming. There are two tracks I believe should have been omitted from the album, however I'll keep that to myself. Even with the toned down style, it's a very good album. I'm a big fan of pop music and this certainly mixes a pop rock element into the metalcore sound Architects is known for. Some industrial influence as well. Holy Hell will remain my favorite and an absolute masterpiece, but FTTWTE is a stellar album, albeit watered down in composition. -

Album has a pressing error where at the end of the song Dying Is Absolutely Safe album skips/repeats. I know its a pressing defect as I had Kings Road send out a replacement and it has the same defect.
