Live recording during the Birmingham N.E.C. on 27th and 28th of November, 1988,

It was released on VHS in November 1989, followed by a limited VHS/CD edition in 1994. The CD in this package does not include two songs that are in the video ("Can I Play with Madness" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name"), due to space limitations.

In 2013, the full concert footage, including encores which were not featured in the original VHS, was reissued on DVD, CD and LP under the new title, Maiden England '88.

Terrible sounding album.
Wish it wasn’t as setlist for this IM 88 concert is awesome.
Image is pressed slightly off center and as soon as the needle hits the ”image” it gets noisy as hell. I hesitated buying this until it was on sale.
Never more a picture disc! Will send back. Avoid…

There is a common defect with this release which affects the sound quality on Side A, especially the digital audio layer. Side B has no reported issues though.

Picture discs aren't a thing in my collection and these are the only ones I have anymore. Sound is actually good and worth picking these up until it gets released on proper vinyl (if ever!).

My version is copy protected... 😫 I'll learn how to it soon yet it's annoying and it's a shame I wasn't informed before, so I could look for a no protection version.

Pictures discs with over 27min on sides A, B and C. I didn't expect the records to sound so good, but they sound superb!!

The year of manufacture was not stated anywhere on the disc or label. No idea where that "1990" release year came from. I've been an avid fan of the band since the late 1980s living most of the time in Brazil and I only saw this item hit the stores in the early 2010s, shortly before the 2CD version became available.
