Another top E.P.! Although both jungle/DnB orientated "The Right Way" is a slightly happier affair with the euphoric breakdowns and piano samples. The Farside on the other hand is a mere forerunner of what was to come in the next year.
Released at the end of '93 - the cusp of what would eventually become jungle and drum 'n' bass! -

Everybody should strive to own a copy of this. Stand out high quality 93 production, the high frequency's are insane. Do it now -

Far side of the galaxy type of vibe...
Brilliant!
Dark and Spacey.
Snappin' Breaks & String Stabs.
Ordering one for the new & improved, slimmed down, phat cut collection right now...
I dumped off a couple hundred tunes on here, but this one is long overdue and will be added. I'm trying to free up some space, but this is one of those that I HAD to have and will keep no matter WHAT. It represents my "vision" of ideal sound.

Farside is a criminally underrated tune, combining tasteful orchestral stabs with quality breakbeats and complex dark background pads. The drums are well layered and snappy, utilizing less typical breaks for a more original drum sound than the average think/amen rinse out. You can almost hear the uplifting 92 era decaying away through the samples in this track. The classic "do it now" and "rush!" vocal snippets appear halfway through, but are answered by a pitched down voice whispering "no!".
Top notch darkness in my humble opinion.
