my first take on a CD, but given the availability of the original vinyl? this is a fantastic collection of 0s and 1s... the bass is incredible and the album ranks among the top 50 of post-punk (or whatever else anyone wants to call it) releases, well worth many listens

Managed to score one of these black shell printed text tapes on eBay recently. Im assuming these tapes are the ones sourced from the original LP per the description on the remastered tape? It sure sounds like a needle drop, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it sounds quite good actually. Haven’t heard any other copies besides digital so can’t do a proper comparison now. J-card has textured card stock apparently similar to the original LP.

          referencing Mama (LP, Album) none

I would've liked to seen NMN rerecord "Mama" when they became a little more concrete in their sound, say around "Wrong" or "Why Do They Call Me Mr. Happy?". Do what Fear and Suicidal Tendencies did for their albums. It would've been interesting to hear, especially if the album's master tapes had never been found.
