AIR French Band* – Moon Safari

I have the 2023 pressing and it's very good. Silent whilst the general audio volume is nice and loud. I wouldn't go so far to say it's 'outstanding' or 'the best vinyl in my collection' like many others have said, usually about the 2015 version. It's still the same album I've always known but some elements poke out a bit more than on the CD, and there's a bit more ambience particularly in the quieter tracks.

I happen to have the 2023 pressing, and not the 2015 one like others in these reviews. I’m very happy with the sound quality, was a little leery after reading that the pressing might be less than, but this sounds crisp!

I don't suppose this has a better mastering than the retail CDs?

Excellent reissue. Quality pressing and beautiful album production with lots of detail and dynamics.

Fyi, these reviews are most likely referring to the 2015 pressing which is visually identical but a different mastering by Miles Showell. That one is great, while the VMP cut by MPZ is poor. The 2015 is still in print and is almost definitely what you will pick up online or in a store

Flat quiet press. Full and dynamic. I have the “Miles Masterpiece” etched copy. Mastering is solid, offering great separation and a large soundscape.

Amazing album to start with, this 180g beast of a repressing is so warm and smooth. Such a well done pressing. I wish all my albums were pressed this well.
