I have the same pressing but with old label design. Pressing variant!

Picked up a copy of this pressing at a record fair today in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It sounds phenomenal!

All you need to do is compare this to a 1st pressing or the 2015 release. The overall sound quality of this pressing is very dull.
For a funk album, there isn't much funk.

I really think I got lucky on this one. Found in the wild in Belmar, NJ, paid $30 for it. Verified the runout so I know what I have. One round on the Spin Clean and this record is near pristine. I am extremely impressed with whomever was the previous owner. This thing is shiny. Soundwise, it's one of the best sounding records in my collection. Nice instrument isolation, wide soundstage. A good set of headphones (AKG K702 in my case) and you're blasting off to the Mothership.

MOTHERSHIP CONNECTION is like the Sgt. Pepper of funk. This 1975 Terre Haute pressing is impressive. Ample low end, crisp up top, with a vibrant, explosive soundstage. My copy has a single jump skip about halfway through A1, otherwise it's nice and clean with occasional light surface noise.

Agree with previous comments. It's a good pressing, with a good ultrasonic cleaning, I have no noise or pops. Need to push the volume to increase the potential of this awesome P Funk

Pretty solid ass pressing. Minimal noise. Virtually no cracks/pops. Record came mostly flat/minimal warping. Mix sounds pretty good. Lacks a little oomph. Coulda beefed up the mix a bit more, a bit more guttural punchy lows woulda been nice, but not bad overall.

My copy sounds great, but got slightly warped such that Side A is a little concave and Side B is a little convex. No apparent impact on the quality of the sound, but it seems like between the fairly lightweight jacket and thin vinyl it just got squeezed when shrink wrapped and sat on the shelf too long. Overall, though, the record sounded great and dead quiet.

Overall record pressing is quite good. Record is flat without defects.

Jacket is an upgrade, thick, glossy, tip-on style. Window film sticker is unique.

As far as the mix goes, the music sounds flat to me. It is missing the low end. Was hoping for more bass and sub-bass, especially with Bootsy doing his thing. It's not the worst mix I've heard, but even with the lower frequencies EQed higher on my amp, the music still lacks the low end. The funk needs that bass.

I listened to this last night again- its been a while, The mix on this is really almost amazing and the pressing is dead quiet. Everything sounds real and clean- even the drums and cymbals pop.
