Accelerate Records first gained worldwide attention in the early 90's and showcased the more minimalistic approach to Dan Bell's work. Under his DBX alias, Dan Bell had become known via Plus 8 Records working with Richie Hawtin under the name of Cybersonic. Also running the label Probe right up until 1996. That is when DBX released the Accelerate classic called "I'm Losing Control". One of the best examples of minimal techno, this record would be remixed by Richie Hawtin and Robert Hood and licensed in the U.K. by Peacefrog Records. Accelerate's small catalog is in very high demand, even in 2004. Not the most visible of Detroit's Techno Classics, yet always recognized as such.
