Herald Records was an American record label of the 1950s and 1960s. Specialising in the vocal group sound, its biggest hit was "Stay" by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. Herald was founded in 1952 by Fred Mendelsohn and Al Silver.

45 RPM Catalog Number, Date and Label Identification:
401 through 410 (1953): Black label.
410 through 415 (1953): Yellow label with block print and no flag. (Herald 410 can be found on either black or yellow.)
416 through 528 (1953–1958): Yellow label with script print inside the flag. Some issues in this series appeared with the block style print. Two exceptions in this series are 416 and 432, which can be found on yellow, but without the flag.
529 through 550 (1958–1959): Multi-color label. Some of the higher numbers in this series appeared on a variety of label designs.
551 and higher (1959 forward): Yellow label, with block print inside the flag. A variety of label styles and designs can be found in this series.
Note: Clear red vinyl pressings are found in the 410–421 series.
