Founded by Emmanuel Chamboredon, originally established in New York City in 1978, currently headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Milan releases recordings from a number of genres with an emphasis on motion picture soundtracks.
Milan Records US manages operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Milan Records Europe manages operations for the rest of the world.
The label was acquired by Sony Music Masterworks in August, 2019.
