      Got 16 Lp's from this label.Mainly from the beginning.Autopsy,Exodus,Immolation,Fates Warning;Sodom a.o.
They released vinyl from albums that were only out on CD. So for a vinyl collector like me they were something to look forward to.
They released them when most people thought vinyl was finished and they were easy to get.Nuclear Blast was my place to order them.(they always kept selling vinyl)
Quality is ok i.m.o. Btw, they never said they were a audiophile label.

Just to put some things straight: the concept of this label springs from a time when vinyl was completely on the wane and vinyl collectors (as myself) were regarded a stupid oddity. Back then, the people who came up with the idea of NOTVD displayed a profound knowledge as well as a decent taste in releasing hithero non-available albums on vinyl. Nothing wrong with that, certainly the deed of metal enthusiasts rather than businessmen!
I still hold a couple of releases from this period of the label and, yes, they weren't cheap, but I always received value for money. Not simply an ordinary vinyl release, each record had some kind of special feature (cover, vinyl, gimmick). You really have to thank the people at NOTVD for some of the classics that otherwise would have never seen the lights, just think of SAXON, EXODUS, UDO, FATES WARNING...
I therefore simply cannot agree with some of the comments posted here.
However, times have changed, and we - the vinyl buying metalheads- have been spotted as potential prey. Just take a look around at what other bigger labels do to get our money... you have the offer of somewhat "exclusive" editions of the same recording over and over again. There certainly is a commercial strategy behind this...True, a lot of NOTVD releases (in particular the ones by famous artists) are hard to come by. But is this a label problem? Decide for yourself, if any record is worth paying entirely overblown prices. Maybe the "secretive clubs" mentioned in a former comment really exist. I have no intention what-so-ever to these people, so if a record is sold-out, that's just bad luck.
Anyway, for me NOTVD remains what it always has been: a label by metalfans for metalfans!

Horrible quality. The sound i noticably Very poor. I wouldn't be surprised if the sub par mastering is done just from a CD version. I have three albums from this label that confirms it's probably a rule more than an exception. They are probably just money grabbig with their (unfortunately) quite desireable choice of vinyl releases.

Terrible label. Releases records early to some little secretive club, most of the release arent even publicity announced. By the time you do get word, they're all sold out becasue little secretive club buys them all up. Will never purchase a release from this company ever again. I hope the labels they work with know about whats going on!
