Imation (officially Imation Corp.) was a data storage and imaging systems company formed in March 1996.
Imation Corporation was during the 1990s involved in CD-ROM manufacturing (as well as some volume of audio CD manufacturing according to discs in the database). In 1998, the company sold its CD-ROM replication business to Imation, Breda in the Netherlands. Imation retained ownership of a third facility in Menomonie, Wisconsin, but replication equipment and employees were transferred from there to other Metatec facilities after the purchase.
CDs manufactured at one of Imation's replication plants listed above can be identified by 'MADE BY IMATION' in the disc matrix.
The Imation, Breda plant should be credited as guided in that profile.
