Shadoks Music

Profile:

Seemingly defunct German label which specialized in reissues of rare psychedelic and underground music. Preceded by the Little Indians label.

The legitimacy of releases on Shadoks is suspect - the label worked with artists on some releases, while others were outright bootlegs that were not authorised by the artists.

    I welcome you !

    Shuttah - Image Maker 1971

Can anyone provide information on the musicians of Shuttah.
Nowhere to find anything about them, who they were, etc.
Maybe there is a progressive music fan who knows something about this.
    Thanks.

I have two Shadoks releases in my collection - one dubbed from vinyl (Captain Marryat) and another dubbed from tape (Bump 2). Both are VERY high-quality - heavy vinyl with excellent sound (Captain Marryat is on clear wax and has zero surface noise or artifacts of digital audio restoration) housed in thick cardboard sleeves with nice inserts with pictures and band bios. It's a shame they appear to not be active anymore. Highly recommend over other labels like Akarma and Radioactive/Fallout.

So many titles on this label listed as unofficial. However there are articles is existence with the label owner. More recently, Guerssen records have mentioned Shadoks as a source/consultant. This just doesn't have the usual characteristics of an unofficial or bootleg label.

Is this label still in operation...meaning, still releasing new titles or now defunct?
