T. REX

Marc Bolan's record label.

When Bolan's contract with Fly Records expired in 1971 his company Wizard Artists Limited did a licence deal with The Gramophone Co. Ltd. (later EMI Records Ltd.) to distribute T. Rex via a new label Bolan called The T. Rex Wax Co. When the first release arrived (Telegram Sam) that had just been reduced to a simple "T. Rex" label. This was distributed worldwide by EMI with the exception of some European countries and the US.

The EMI licence expired in the late 1970s.
