Seriously, this label sources from CeeDee's so why not just buy the little silver disk?

I have seen a lot of comments and reviews stating or questioning the quality of the Waxtime/Jazz Wax pressings, including a campaign by MoFi discrediting their quality and sourcing. I don’t have a large sample size but I can tell you that I have purchased 6 LPs of Jazz wax/Wax time and all 6 have had flawless quality in the pressings and vinyl, they run as quiet as anything in my collection. I have multiple MoFi’s and late vintage Blue Notes, and although there is little to question about the quality of the sourcing, I cannot say they have superior or even equal quality in the physical product to the wax times. 75% of my MoFi’s and 50% of Blue Notes have distracting visible flaws that have an audible presence. So for $15-20, I’ll buy wax time all day, and I will question my next $50+ MoFi. "Analog Productions"/"Quality Record Pressing" pressings on the other hand seem always superior in sound and physical quality.

WaxTime is one of several European reissue labels taking advantage of the expiration of EU copyright protections for pre-1961 recordings. These labels reissue "audiophile" LPs on heavyweight vinyl, but provide no information about their mastering processes or source recordings. The issuing labels vault the original master tapes in the U.S. and generally do not ship them, so the European labels presumably do not have access to them. High-resolution digital releases are less readily available in Europe, so there is a good chance they are cutting their "audiophile" lacquers from ordinary CD releases. Other suspect European reissue labels include Abraxas, Dol, Doxy, Simply Vinyl, Vinyl Lovers, and ZYX.
