Pier 48

Profile:

Pier 48 is a part of the former harbour located at the Central Waterfront of Seattle, Washington, United States.

It was built in the mid-1930s and taken over by the Port of Seattle in 1950 to serve a variety of shippers. Between 1967 and 1989, Pier 48 was the Seattle terminal for the ferries of the Alaska Marine Highway System. Later it was occasionally reused as a venue for concert performances e.g. of The Breeders (now defunct)
