The Palais Theatre

Art deco venue located in Melbourne, Australia. Opened on 11th November 1927, as a cinema, the first Melbourne-suburban cinema to show 'talkies' films. By 1962, musicals were performed here, moving into live bands from the late 1970s (frequently large-scale, overseas acts, such as The Rolling Stone). Seats 2896 and is on the Victorian Heritage .
