CD-Linja OY

Profile:

CD-Linja Oy was a Finnish CD manufacturer, it never was a label.

CD-Linja was founded by Kasettilinja Oy in cooperation with the Swedish pressing plant DCM (Digital Communication Media) in 1994 as the first CD pressing plant in Finland (ed on November 9, 1994). The introduction process was in stages and it wasn't until the end of 1995 when CD-Linja could function in full capacity as a pressing plant. First CD manufactured at CD-Linja's own pressing plant was Aikakone - Tähtikaaren Taa in late 1995 - until then discs were manufactured for CD-Linja elsewhere, DCM in Sweden or DanDisc in Denmark.

The company name was officially changed to CD-Linja, Digital Communication Media on January 24, 2001 when it was folded into DCM. In 2005 it was one of the companies to form the multinational Dicentia. Offices of CD-Linja became Dicentia Finland Oy until 2010 when the Finnish offices of Dicentia were shut down.
