Edited 7 years agoOjO: There are many late 90's to early 2000's Fania Records Gold label Reissues of their original Gold label releases. And unless you know what to look for, you could be paying good money for a Gold Label Reissue that ALMOST looks identical to the Original. The difference is in the text layout of the center record labels on the Gold label Reissues: The release ID is on the left side of the spindle hole, and Stereo or Mono, Side A, or Side B on the right side of the spindle hole. On the Originals, the text layout on the labels WILL HAVE the Release ID, Side A, or Side B, and Stereo or Mono ALL on the left side of the spindle hole. And upon a closer inspection, you'l notice the differences in the matrices (runouts) within the dead wax. The jacket construction and layout on both the Original, and Reissue are identical. So if you're buying a release that is still sealed, and supposedly, an Original Gold Label, proceed with caution.
