Soundwave

Audio recording and mastering studio located in New York City, New York, USA, opened in 1970.

It was comprised of 3 studios. By 1979 the studio - in spite of its name - no longer offered any recording services but specialized in mastertape edits and master disk cutting, for which it employed Scully lathes with Neumann SC 74 cutting head and Westrex.

Can often be recognized by a SOUNDWAVE stamp or a "s/w" etching in the runout area of vinyl releases.
