I worked at the Southwater plant mid 1999 through to early 2002 on 4 on/4 off 12 hour nightshift screen printing the artwork to the CD's and DVD's. There used to be a stereo with a decent set of old speakers blaring out all night (they had to be loud over the noise of the machines) and was generally some kind of electronic music. A large percentage of the nightshift workforce would go and smoke weed in the car park at break times/lunch (ahhhh to be young...). I being given a £100 bonus when I discovered the 2 CD's had been pressed the wrong way round on this release (https://www.discogs.sie.com/release/5321244-DJ-Spoony-Steve-Smooth-Sutherland-Twice-As-Nice-II-Summer-Of-Love). Was a decent enough place to work (being high helped) but after about 3 years of that lifestyle I was a bit of a wreck and had to give it up.

I worked at the UK Disctronics plant back in the late 90s. What a miserable place that was.
