This label gives us the best repress all around for Network23 and others like Mononom II etc.
What I really love is, that they keep the records as they were! Original tracks and design.
Not that mish-mash track selection the usual NTW23 repress do. And its all on black vinyl. Nothing is better than black vinyl.
Transparent white vinyl on recent NTW repress? Have u ever tried to play it at a party? Because u cant even see the grooves.
Maybe because its... transparent? Who knows... -

Actually, we were very happy about this series with the re-issues. We bought all parts and were not only able to check all 6 releases, but also each one several times or 3 times.
The sound quality convinces us, but every single record has slight but massive scratches. Within a grading, we get an average of condition information at the level of VG+.
Thats really sad. Especially since we all bought our records brand new and directly from the label within several weeks.
So it seems to be a systematic error in production or packaging.
If you want to check your records: use an LED flashlight and hold it at different angles over the record.
Nevertheless, we will also buy further releases and the project. -

Enthusiasts and nostalgics of this atmosphere are delighted...expect the unexpected...

Edited 2 years agoMaybe we should first say "Thanks" to Sound Metaphors for repressing legendaries SP23/NTW23. I totally understand frustrated people not getting their copy for a decent price but can we blame the label if people are buying a record and then selling it for 3 or 4 times the price straight away? Capitalist pigs fuck off! -

The repress has been needlessly expensive of this great record from the start. It just got released and scammers are already asking 30 to 40 Euro's for the repress.
These are sad times and sad sellers.
It is beyond crazy that this record is going to cost me at least 45,00 Euro to here in the Netherlands.
It is insane and almost to the point of criminal since it just got released.
And to the label owners...
You created this price war and you can put a halt on this madness!!
