Opened 15th of January 1964 in a former bank. The "Whisky A Go Go" was the first rock club in Los Angeles. Led Zeppelin to today's up and coming new artists.

The Club was founded by Elmer Valentine (1923-2008), a former policeman from Chicago.

"The Whisky" is a recording-venue for a lot of prominent live-albums.
