While a few indie labels are probably mourning the loss of this plant given the current state of vinyl manufacturing, I can't say I miss them too much. They did manage to avoid some of the issues plants like Rainbo had (horrible non-fill, orange peel induced surface noise, factory warping, etc.) but seemingly could not press a properly centered record to save their lives. Nearly every record I've had that's been pressed here is off-center to one degree or another. It's almost like they gave no regard to properly centering stampers at all or "winged it" when punching the stampers. As a result you get a bunch of seasick records where your tonearm wavers from side to side, throwing the pitch off. Sadly many pressing plants around today are not that much better. People need to start demanding better quality given the price of records today and stop accepting defective and sub-par records.
