"Polygram Manufacturing & Distribution Centers" - marking the PolyGram ownership of manufacturing plants responsible for production of vinyl, CDs, cassettes and video tapes. Operating under this name from June 1992 until 1999.
Please use PMDC as catch-all only where the proper plant cannot be identified. Usually, the PMDC plant is credited in the CD matrix area or on the face of the CD:

Made in = PMDC,
Made in UK = PMDC, UK
Made in USA = PMDC, USA

The PMDC plants used the following Mould SID codes:
IFPI 01xx = PMDC
IFPI 02xx = PMDC
IFPI 04xx = PMDC UK
IFPI 03xx = PMDC USA
However, as several plant name changes took place, the Mould Codes can also appear on earlier or later pressings or on repressings with old mastering information.

Even though PolyGram regained control over the plants already in 1991, the first plant wasn't renamed to PMDC before June 1992 (PMDC USA), followed by the plants in Holland, , and 1993 (UK: 1996). After the Dutch vinyl plant PMDC Amersfoort
In 1999, all PMDC plants were renamed to Universal Manufacturing & Logistics (Universal M & L).
