port Records

port Records (or just "port") was an American label, founded in 1973 and disbanded in 1988.

In 1973, Synergy (3) was the first artist signed to the label.

The port label eventually grew to become the port Records Group which included the original flagship port label, port Jazz, The Audion Recording Company, and several other diverse labels. The parent company, Jem Records, went out of business at the end of 1988 taking port Records and The Audion Recording Company with it.
