The Rabbit City record label was co-founded by Spiral Tribe and Force Mass Motion, who had sent demo tapes to Colin's Kiss FM radio show. The label started life releasing Techno influenced Hardcore before moving to more of a pure Techno sound in the mid 90's. Faver was more in charge of A&R whilst Matthewman looked after most of the production and label management side of things.

Anyone dancing in the early uk rave scene, similar to basement records, would of heard these classics--and they are and always will be--this label had seminal trax like rabbit city 4 "everybody reach up,dont stop" that ravers loved back in the day---its a nostalgic catalogue to my youth and many others--they had a power and direction to the hardcore/techno unmatched to this day! quality....

When I was a fresh faced grommet and first got into Techno in 1990, I used to loathe this sort of stuff with a ion (...it's got a VOCAL ???)
Then, as time went past and Techno died out post '93 - in Adelaide at any rate, it suddenly seemed to make a whole lot of sense...party tracks for party people...
Proof that these tracks have lasted the acid test of time.

(I missed out on a whole lot of excellent tracks because of this, which is why the day I found > 30 dog-eared Edge & Rabbit City Records at this PawnBroker, hiding behind "The Best of Bread" & some Tina Turner records (1.00 $AUD, with 50% off - 50 c a copy !!) it went down in my books as a sign from Synclavier II, the Tekno Deity : )
