Jukebox Jam Series

Profile:

This is a series of 45's featuring reissues of 50's & 60's RnB music, some of which were previously unreleased. Many of the record label designs feature repro artwork which very closely resemble the aesthetics & design of their original releases. In some cases, (I.E. Specialty, Chess, Argo, Sun and Modern) the labels are near exact reproductions. The releases feature sequential catalog numbers starting with JBJ1001.

The label name was spun off from the club night shows of the same name, run by Jukebox Jam CEO and DJ Liam Large.

Tittyshaker´s has taken over more or less. I guess all the big dog collectors hit the bottom of the barrel on deep funk to dig up. Now as the interest in rare funk 45´s have gone down (except prices)) they have dug further back in time and found love in Mambo and blues tracks from the post war era. Personally i think it´s hella fun to drop this stuff. The reaction to audience is way more responsive than deep funk.
Allthough finding proper sounding sources to repress this music (as many are 78´s and Shellac´s) for acceptable sound quality can be questionable.. But meanwhile, keep em coming boys.
