Belter

Spanish record label, active from 1954 to 1984. Founded by musician Joaquín Alfonso Navas and lawyer José Ramón Batallal.

Belter was formally launched in 1954 and run by record company Belter, S.L. from 1954 till the early 1962.
After a company restructuring the label was operated by the renamed company Discos Belter, S.A. till its defunctness in 1984.
It specialized in Spanish folk music and dance-oriented music.
Belter name came from founders wives names: IsaBEL and TEResa.

Belter records were released in by Versailles since 1956.
