If their really is such thing as the ultimate record label, then this would have to be it. An Australian record company run, owned and operated entirely by screwballs, for screwballs, DualPlover has truly got everything. Anachronistic superstars, outlandish experimentalists, bizzarro big-names, and bands that I can only describe by name have all shared the title of getting signed on by Lucas Abela, himself the most brilliant wakkaroo the world (no, really, he's toured in Beirut, , Korea, and Lisboa among other countries) has ever seen. Every one of this label's releases has its own off-kilter charm, ranging from Dokaka, master of the a cappela, to A Kombi, a noisemaking Volkswagen that could outperform entire netlabels(and I have proof). Ultimately, these recordings are all love-it-or-hate-it, but give one a try and you're bound to love the rest.
