World Record Connoisseur Series

Short-lived subdivision of the World Record Club, which issued one solitary LP in 1958. However, the popularity of this one LP showed there was a market for more rarified classical music, and led the WRC to create The Record Society in 1960 to cater for it. The name "Connoisseur Series" was resurrected in 1963, and used for historic older recordings, using the different prefix "CE".
