Sheffield Tape Archive

A series of archive recordings from around 1980 onwards: Sheffield bands, demos, concerts and rarities. A recent addition has been Martin Lilleker's collection of band demos which, with permission of the artists are gradually being released on STA, with proceeds from their sale to be donated to the Woodland View dementia group. Martin was a music journalist and author of books documenting the Sheffield music scene from the 60s to 80s. He was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease at the young age of 57.
As music was such a large part of Martin's life and ion, this is a fitting legacy and thank you to all those who cared for him.
