    Hi

I wanted to warn people on here about issues myself & many others (see Trustpilot website) have had ordering through Bleep.com. They are listing items as in-stock when they’re clearly unavailable & are not fulfilling online orders.

Emails sent to them are not responded to, whilst there is no other way to them. They are also not responding to Facebook/Instagram messsges whilst their phone number has been disconnected.

I placed an order with them over three weeks ago. Both items were listed as being in-stock & to be despatched within one working day which suited me as it was for a Christmas present. I then received an initial generic/automated email on 23.12.20 informing me that the order would not be fulfilled before Christmas (& giving all the excuses under the sun). I’ve still not received either the order, or any indication of when the order will be shipped. The status of one of the items I’ve ordered has also been changed from in-stock to pre-order.

I’ve tried ing their “we will respond within 1 working day” email address, but no response to the last three emails over the past 1-2 weeks. Shocking customer service!

It’s been a really disappointing experience & I’ll never use them again. It’s a shame as Warp/Bleep used to be good, but appear to have gone downhill after being taken over by Ochre Music Ltd. I’m all for ing independent stores during these uncertain times, but issues like this make me want to stick with more mainstream & reliable/honest online stores like Juno.

I’ve lodged a dispute with PayPal to try & get my money back. I’d advise anyone else who has experienced similar issues with them recently to either do the same, or to try & arrange a chargeback through their banks.

These are extraordinary times given the Covid-19 and Brexit crisis. The mayor of London declared a state of emergency as well. Maybe because of this Bleep failed to send an order. But given these circumstances i understand. Ochre replied on every e-mail i've sent them within 48 hours and eventually we came to the conclusion we had to cancel the order. Within two days Ochre returned the money.

I hear what you’re saying but there are appears to be a large amount of orders which haven’t gone out & emails which haven’t been responded to in for over a week. It’s also poor that there is no other way of ing them. Also, this was pre-Xmas and before the UK went back into full lockdown. I get the shipping delay part, but how hard is it to send an email & keep people updated? Lots of other independent stores are managing to operate some type of service under the circumstances and get orders out, of at least have the decency to respond to emails & keep people updated. Ochre certainly haven’t refunded mine & others’ money yet...

I deliver parcels to them sometimes, strange operation! If it helps their address (of the Distribution Centre) is Bleep Ltd, 19 Alston Drive, Bradwell Abbey, MILTON KEYNES, MK13 9HA - maybe send a good old-fashioned complaint letter to them?

That's a bit of a bummer. I paid for a preorder from them for 4 records a few days ago, which is supposed to be fulfilled before the end of the month. I predict that's going to end in disappointment at the very least.

By the way. Are online record stores supposed to be discussed on this group? I thought this group was specifically for independent brick and mortar stores on the high street?

Should really be posted on something more generic and visible like the Chat group and or General Forum really.

Fingers crossed you have more luck with your order than I had.

They’ve already received my complaint & I’m trying to get my money back.

Sure, I can’t see why not - online record stores have been discussed in this group before. Also, Bleep does trade as a physical record store - they have opened up a store on London's Kingsland Road in Dalston, London.

Anyhow, best of luck with your order.

Cheers, wasn't aware of that at all. Thanks. Not that I'll be visiting it anytime soon, seeing that I don't live in London anymore and the current situation of course :(

It's up to you of course but I think you should repost this on either one of the following ''General/Chat forums/Electronic Music'' as well, as it's quite a well established and used company and those forums are much more visible as they are default forums available to everyone whether they like it or not. The more people that are made aware of these issues the better in my opinion. This is helpful but it's a forum you need to . Not everyone can see it unfortunately.

I really hope it works out for you. I gather you paid via paypal so the payment side of things should be fairly straightforward. I hate seeing punters run into bad luck especially with well established stores which have traditionally/historically have had a reliable service. Good luck.

Off-Topic: I've also seen delays with two preorders concerning a label I ordered directly from via bandcamp and I'm getting nervous as there haven't been any updates whatsoever. I actually ended up ordering one of that label's releases direct from Juno as it was released and available in the same week the release was announced. But nothing from the label itself (which happens to reside in ) so far.

Just to add. Bleep don't seem to be having any issues with their daily advertising and promotions of releases. Let's put it simply, they don't seem to have a problem accepting customers' money regardless if they haven't got the items in stock or are able to fulfill orders / send them out :P

This seems to be a common complaint that people seem to have, in that they are focusing their energies on marketing/advertising & spending less time on customer service. They are taking people’s money regardless of whether the items are in-stock. They’re often not, even though their website is advertising them as being in-stock. This leads to lengthy shipping delays. Very confusing/frustrating!

Hey, had you ever gotten your items you've purchased? I'm thinking about buying some vinyls off of them, Bleep, yet I don't know if I should after reading the messages sent here.

I am very aware these messages are a bit under 4 years old, however can never be too safe and definitely do not want to lose my money,

Well, read https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.bleep.com and decide for yourself what you want to do.

Bleep is extremely slow to deliver. That being said, I have not had problems otherwise with them.

Now Fat Beats, that's another story. Just zero customer service. And also extremely slow on the delivery. Things have gone from bad to worse with them. I recommend avoiding buying from them.
