Blessings from Singapore.
I'm a Discogs for long and myself is keen on Chinese music collections.
As a fluent Chinese speaker, would like to know if Discogs is interested into being translated into Chinese and hereby attracting more record fans from Chinese communities to build up a more comprehensive Chinese music catalogs.
I am fine with both traditional and simplified Chinese. If possible, please create for both and I will contribute together.
Please let me know.
Heydumbbird, I second your request! I'm also interested in contributing to the localization project if it's available. The Chinese speaking record collectors are a huge and growing community, and I'm sure many people will be delighted to have Discogs available in their native language.
I hope the official Discogs team could consider initiating a Chinese translation project. Many regions around the world, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and more, use Chinese extensively. These areas have a plethora of Chinese-released products, and the platform is continuously expanding its collection of Chinese releases. Currently, s from China and other major Chinese-speaking regions can access the Discogs website seamlessly, and many Chinese-speaking record enthusiasts rely on Discogs for information and catag their collections. If a Chinese translation project is launched, it would attract even more individuals to the Discogs community, contributing to the documentation of music releases in the Chinese-speaking regions over the past century.
