A nice selection through all musical styles from Jazz to Metal, House to Reggae, Funk to Hip Hop, etc. and a cozy store where you'll get a seat and a coffee anytime.
Some saturdays there's even DJ's spinning. fangkiebassbeton, Sir Matthew Fox and Neil Perch (of Zion Train) have already done so.

No one has mentioned any shops in Italy. I was there in autumn 2008 and visited a cracking shop in Florence called Discoscratch. Over two days, I walked out with armfuls of good Detroit techno and house and loads of other great music, all at sensible prices. The owner sco has run the shop and distribution company, Frequenze, for many years. If you find yourself in Florence, Discoscratch is well worth a look.

Bill's has a huge amount of dance music that he never sold. There are so many gems to be found (well, if he actually unpacked the thousands of records he has in storage). All records are $10.

If you visit Holland and you are into electronic music, this recordshop is definately the best shop in The Netherlands:
