A forum page to highlight new album releases that simply might have slipped you by, or may be unaware of, or just need to be shouted about!..If in the field of Techno(+), Deep & Tech House, IDM, Downtempo or anything that falls in-between these genres - please do mention!
John Roberts - Fences
Excellent deep-house techno with a experimental edge. Released on the brilliant Dial label with quality releases/albums from: Efdemin, Lawremce, Sten, Pawel, Roman Flügel, Pantha Du Prince. A excellent follow up to John's acclaimed 'Glass Eight' debut album. Both albums well worth looking into if into atmospheric soundtrack like deep-house and techno.

Nu Era - The Third Adam
Nu Era's debut became a cult classic with a price tag now reaching the price of £150 + in most cases. Certainly was a sublime album of melody deep jazzy techno. This new album could be a very exciting follow-up, esp after all these years!... Already sold-out on limited early pressings! Should become available to buy again very soon - though I think limited to 300 prints !!!!!!!

Nu Era - The Third Adam
Cheers for putting this up. I don't buy many albums but this looks very interesting. Big fan of the 4 Hero guys back in the day and this sounds very funky. Always liked that Mac (and another UK breakbeat pioneer, A Guy Called Gerald) never limited themselves to the genre they had most success in - always acknowledged the techno roots.

Just been listening to the Nu Era - The Third Adam; A excellent album with that 90's warm good feel techno(+) sound (As One, The Other People Place, The Martian aka Mad Mike UR) .. Charming, quirky, and fun, can put a smile on your face (it did on me!), and certainly puts you a good mood with its 90's deep and funky music. -

Yeah nice one thanks for letting us know about that Nu Era album player. Also a big fan of everything 4Hero. Mono Concentrate from that Beyond Gravity LP is one of my fave tracks ever. -

Good! I wouldn't say it's a particularly innovative album but still quality throughout. I'm intrigued by the Nu-Era album. I used to be really into 4 Hero so will check that out.
Another recent recommendation is The Black Dog - Tranklements. It usually takes me a while to get into a Black Dog album but for me they have never released a bad record. Proper techno troopers! -

Can't get enough of this right now:
Aybee "Worlds" on his own Deepblak label
http://www.discogs.sie.com/Aybee-Worlds/master/548832
the full album presents a unique sound and style which is some achievement with the current trends for deep techno and house. some beautiful 'ambient' pieces amongst some abstract rhythms and non 4/4 signatures whilst the whole vibe is properly deep. Reminds me of the best of Recloose or even Derrick May and the series of early Transmat albums. Good yellow pressing too.

BUTTHA - Magic Island
http://www.discogs.sie.com/Buttha-Magic-Island/release/4635505
Had a brief quick listen of this album last night... So-far been very impressed with its fusion of sweeping house-tech(no) synth melodies and beats, plus cool chill out downtempo grooves with dubby rhythms. Groovy and deep at the same time which does have moments that remind me of earlyJohn Beltran's swirling techno/house/downtempo music...Really looking forward to give this a proper listen!

A excellent return by Andrew Weatherhall (Sabres Of Paradise / Two Lone Swordsmen), collaborating with Tim Fairplay. I am going to be picking that one up soon. I listened to the clips the other day and it sounds like a real return to form. I have his first album, the excellent Tango N Vectif but since then I have only bought Bilious Paths which I didn't rate at all - drill n bass was never my bag.

Another album that seems to be quietly released without much noise, but certainly needs to be mentioned, esp for deep-house/minimal techno/tech-house fans, produced/written by Lawrence on his excellent Dial label.
Lawrence - Films & Windows
http://boomkat.com/cds/792446-lawrence-films-windows
-BoomKat-
Lawrence's fifth LP is a masterclass in the art of debonaire German deep house minimalism. The Hamburg mainstay is rarely paralleled in this arena, and effortlessly proves why over eight tracks of supple, seductive rhythms and soothingly emotive melodic gestures. From 'The Opening Scene' of wintry strings and icy bleeps, 'Marlen' quietly but sweetly swings in with its Convextion-like strings and sci-fi synths beside the sleigh-bell shimmy of 'In Patagonia'. In 'Films & Windows' he places more emphasis on stark snares and sub-bass perfused with trickling melodies, leading to a druggily ambiguous climax, and 'Angels At Night' is a heartfelt dedication to the lushest Detroit sounds. Although not as dark as the title infers, 'Lucifer' provides an engrossingly moody highlight again reminding of early Convextion, and you couldn't ask for a more lovely closer than the stroked keys, spiritual harp and gauzy church organ of 'Teenage Barb'. -

If I do get one of these releases it will probably be this one. I wasn't sure about the clip of his new album but his nineties stuff is outstanding. Those first two albums represent some of the best jazz influenced techno ever made. A great example of this is the track As (Part 1: Perspiacity) from Gigantic Days. Right up there with the best of UR.

Jan Jelinek's Faitiche label presents a new album and, at the same time, a well-known name: Farben presents James DIN A4. In the summer of 2013 Farben (Jan Jelinek) remixed his way through the extensive oeuvre of the sample and collage artist James DIN A4 (Dennis Busch) – and gathered ten of his favorite titles here.

Update!
The excellent ESTERBAN ADAME - DAY LABOR album CD version is actually CDr! A great soulful techno album though, I have to say I am a bit pi**ed off that a quality album like this gets a CDr treatment! -

Thomas P Hecjmann - The Lost Tales Vol 3

All TLT 1-3 are worth picking up - but 3 has that cool Robert Liener 'Visions Of The Past' chilled techno acid ambient sound. Released on the excellent Carpe Sonum Records label.
Also on Carpe Sonum soon the new album by the excellent Idm-techno-ambient artist Lorenzo Montanà. Just check his work, esp his collaboration with the Pete Namlook (RIP).

Does anyone have PSYK - 'Time Foundation' album ? Am interested but having bought to much recently am waiting for reviews. This is a new release which sounds quiet cool for its rooted minimal Robert Hood style of techno.

I agree. I hate cdr`s. I understand it`s all about costs but if a label or artist releases something on cdr it`s like they don`t value their own art. If they`re gonna release it on cd release a proper edition, properly mastered etc or just release it on vinyl and don`t bother releasing a cd version.

Plaid - Reachy Prints.
Just bought the japanese edition of this album. Not as outstanding as their classic Black Dog / Plaid productions but still some lovely tracks on this album.

I did the label who kindly refunded as they weren't aware of then being printed on Cdr. It was when I ed them regrading this issue that they realised they were the victims of printing plant who printed them on Cdr rather then masterglass as they should have been. The label is now looking into this, and hopefully it will get resolved.

I thought it was a good album at first, nothing more! But just like Spooks, this album starts to grow on you with each listen...Now I really like it and love it the in same way I enjoy Spokes - which itself is a highly underrated album when compared to early Plaid albums.
