I'm currently maintaining a list of all churches & similar places who were used as recording location.
Currently the heading sounds like: „Gathers churches that are used as recording location. Either for the organ present, or not. If possible, info about the organ is provided. Other religious buildings are also listed (mosques, synagogues, temples of all kind, ...), also if not used for religious purposes no more.
Sorted by country, city”
and this currently should cover it a bit.
Any suggestions for this list are welcome (as well as suggestions for the description & title.)The list is here: http://www.discogs.sie.com/lists/Churches-as-record-location/125268

EDIT November 1st 2017:
Due to a very active professional life since the last few years, I am not very active on discogs any more.
Happily, others have rebuild the list and maintain it (big thanks!)
You can find the active list here: https://www.discogs.sie.com//lists/Churches/261273 -

The town in No. 11 (Christuskirche, Recklinghause) is misspelled. Correct spelling is: Recklinghausen.
Nice list. -

Copied from the studios thread:
St. Barnabas Church, London
This one will probably need further refinement, as there are several St. Barnabas churches in London, but a quick Google suggests that the North Finchley church is the recording venue. -

I included 'North Finchley' in the description of the list for now.

I changed this entry to Prestonwood Baptist Church, Dallas, the main church of that community is in Plano, the one in Dallas is a more recent expansion. -

There's also St Theobaldus chapel, Brecht (Belgium), but it hasn't been entered into the db yet.

Yes! The building was a church originally. Thanks!

Nice, I am from Brecht:) (In fact Sint-Lenaarts, which makes part of Brecht), I added it, funny, one of the two releases features my guitar teacher from back then too!
That chapel was used a few times to smoke hashish by me & friends too:) Good hiding place!

Saint Pierre le Jeune, Strasbourg
This is a dupe of Église Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune de Strasbourg
I'll merge them!

Grote Sint Laurenskerk Alkmaar
this one too, but the entry you gave has the complete&correct name for the church, the earlier entry wasn't correct yet, so I'll merge them to your new entry.
Thanks, for input! All have been added now! -

I can't read French, so I can't guarantee whether those websites are definitely for these specific churches. I think the second website is just about the church's organ.
I've used the names of these churches according to how they appear on Rick Wakeman - Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record) if the correct names are different. -

Église De Planches, Montreux - http://www.cath-vd.ch/-Paroisse-de-Montreux-.html
Avenue des Planches 27, Montreux, Suisse -> must be this church (I visited it with the google map stuff:)
checked the photograph from the site against a plan of the church too & it all fits together (with some puzzling)

The site you gave is indeed about the organ, here is a link to the concert society active in that church

I've used the names of these churches according to how they appear on Rick Wakeman - Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record, but if those websites are right, the correct names may be different. I'm happy to rename them (as they seem only to appear on Rick Wakeman - Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record) if the correct names are different.
I think it's ok as is for the moment, until a dupe shows up, then we can see what's most appropriate. (Maybe by that time we'll have a LNV-function:)
