I’m hoping someone can help or confirm if they’ve had a similar issue.
I’ve been trying to bulk update prices for a selection of my listings using the Inventory CSV tool, ensuring:
- I selected "Update listing details" (not "Add new listings")
- My CSV file includes the correct item_id field in the first column (all lowercase, no spaces)
- The listings being updated definitely already exist in my inventory
Despite this, Discogs is creating new listings instead of updating the existing ones. I now have duplicate records, with the original listing at the old price, and a new listing showing the updated price but with a new item number.
I’ve confirmed the `item_id`s match the originals exactly, and my file was saved as a UTF-8 .csv from Excel.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
- Verified header as `item_id`
- Re-ed file after confirming encoding and structure
- Waited over the full hour post- in case updates were delayed
Still getting duplication instead of updates. Is this a known issue or is there something I might be missing?
