I recently received a completely unjustified negative from a buyer. I am sure that once Discogs reviews the details of the situation, they will rule in my favor and hopefully remove the negative . This will be important to me because my rating was 100% and now it is 99.9%.
The buyer blamed me for something that is 500% his fault, not mine. I have responded to the and also requested a review. But it has been several days now with no response from Discogs.
I realize that Discogs has had a number of issues recently and for that reason, I don't mind being patient as long as I can be assured that at some point my request for a review will be read and that action will be taken.
So do I continue to be patient or is there something else I can do? -

It typically takes 14-21 days.
But I agree, having read the negative it will definitely be removed. You'll just have to be patient.
For what it's worth, I highly doubt any buyer will be put off in the meantime. -

I have just received an e-mail telling me that this negative comment against me will not be removed because it falls within guidelines. This is simply not right because the issue is that the buyer was not able to complete payment, and in fact has a history of not paying for his orders.
As we all know, Discogs processes all payments and then sends the proceeds to the seller. There is no such thing as a buyer giving credit card information directly to the seller. But when this buyer could not complete his payment, he gave me a negative as if to say that I personally was the one refusing his payment.
This defies all logic and I am stunned to see that Discogs will consider leaving this undeserved in place against me. Is there an appeal process for this sort of thing or is there anything else I can do? The order number was 10599130-2063, in case anyone wants to study it and see how I have every right to be upset about this. -

All you can do is raise a request. Link to this thread. Hopefully you'll get a response in the next 3 weeks.

Only Discogs staff can see your order details.
Anyway, I'm shocked that they did not remove it. -

Thanks for your continued concern and . I probably will pursue the appeal process. I think someone just did not fully understand the situation. If they had, they would realize that I could not possibly be at fault when the problem is clearly that the buyer has not established an acceptable payment option. Once he works out that issue with Discogs, he should be able to buy whatever he wants anytime he wants. -

Why didn't you just cancel the order for non payment? As this is the only correct way of cancelling such order.
That way the buyer is not able to leave you any -

The usual process for non-payment is for the computer to automatically cancel an order if the buyer does not pay within the seller's pre-determined time frame. At the same time, the item in question is restored to active and the buyer is automatically given negative . That is why almost every non-payment message you see on here is worded the same.
In my case, the time limit was 10 days. So when I had not received payment within 10 days, I gave it another few days before I looked into it. It still said Invoice Sent. So I took that to mean that the buyer was still trying to work through some sort of payment issue. Otherwise Discogs would have canceled it so that told me that "something" was still in the works.
Therefore I did not want to manually cancel it at that point if they were still trying to work something out. Next thing I knew, here came this negative implying that I personally refused to accept payment, which is simply not what happened.
Thanks for your input and I am still hopeful that this can be resolved in a satisfactory and logical way. -

Is it still at invoice sent?
If so, you should be able to cancel for non payment. This should delete the buyers
