Johnny Temple (2)

American Chicago blues guitarist, bassist and singer, who was active in the 1930s and 1940s.
Born: October 18, 1906 in Canton, Mississippi - Died: November 22, 1968 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Sometimes credited with his nickname as Johnny "Geechie" Temple.
Moved to Jackson circa 1920, learned guitar from his step-father, Slim Duckett.
Borrowed many songs from his friend The Harlem Hamfats, a 'swing blues' group mainly composed of musicians from Jackson and New Orleans.

His 1946 song "Big Leg Woman" arranged and covered by Jimmy "Mr. Blues" Williams who also wrote and recorded a song by the same name in 1961.
