Twink (4)

Real Name:

Mohammad Abdullah né John Charles Edward Alder

Profile:

Born 29 November 1944, in Colchester, Essex, England. In groups "Aquarian Age" in the 1960s. In 1970, Twink recorded Think Pink, a milestone in British psychedelia, with the production work of friend Mick Farren, and the active participation of musicians like Paul Rudolph, Steve Peregrin Took (a past member of T. Rex) and others, and created a collection of songs, instrumental tracks and poetry that is no less than stunning. For many, a "fundamental" release for fans of the psychedelic genre and the Pink Fairies, that reflects the genius of Twink. Also, in 1972 he was in the very brief super group "Stars" with Syd Barrett on guitar, Twink on drums, and Jack Monck on bass. In 2006, Alder converted to Islam and changed his name to Mohammed Abdullah, though he still records as Twink. He released his most recent studio album entitled Think Pink V in 2023.
