Dave Denney

A native of the Hoosier state, Indiana, from Lafayette. At 15 years old, worked with Rube Tronson and his Texas Cowboys as a singer. The group broke up due to the untimely death of its leader, Rube Tronson. From there, Dave went out west to perform on the west coast where he toured through states such as Texas, California, Utah and even Mexico. By 1946, his career found him at radio station WHN in New York and with a recording contract with the Musicraft label. He also dabbled in songwriting.
