Dr. Albert Hofmann

Dr. Albert Hofmann (born January 11th, 1906, in Baden/Aargau, Switzerland - died April 29th, 2008, in Burg im Leimental, Switzerland) was a Swiss chemist.

He is best known for synthesizing Lysergic Acid Diethylamide - the substance widely known as the hallucinogenic drug LSD.
