Altivo da Luz Penteado, aka Garoto, was a Brazilian vibraphonist, pianist, composer, and conductor (b. 31 December 1930, Rio Grande - d. 10 December 2020, Rio Grande).

In the early 1960s, he ed the famous Dick Farney Orchestra. He is also known for his collaborations with Breno Sauer and Conjunto Farroupilha, the latter having recorded some of his songs. In 1966, he recorded the LP "Garoto + Sexteto" with arrangements of his for the Farroupilha label. He conducted during many years the big-band Orquestra Porto Alegre de Espetáculos. Maestro Garoto ed away in 2020 a few days prior to completing 90 years.
