My copy came with a background noise on side A that begins and ends with the song, I mean, it's not present on the silent grooves.

Just to clarify: there is no 2014 Yellow/Transparent Orange repressing of this single. Adeline did a repress in Green Marble and Solid Orange (stated as "Orange" on their website). So the "Translucent Orange" version you are posting here is the original 2000 pressing.

is this not just the same as the standard green 7" release but with a promo sticker on the back? cause if so i don't believe this is a different release, someone just stuck promo sticker on the back of the standard stock ?

A word of warning to anyone looking to buy the 2014 Adeline re-issue on green marble: I'm having issues with the copy I bought today at Newbury Comics. There's a high-pitched buzzing throughout both the A and B sides; however, it's worse on the A side. It's very screechy as soon as you drop the needle, before the music starts. Then it gets a little lower in pitch—it kind of sounds like a bug buzzing or humming throughout the whole song. The buzzing cuts in and out (particularly over the marble parts?), but gets fainter as it moves towards the center of the record.
For the record, another listener had an issue with their pressing, citing screeching among other things: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/101012-adeline-vinyl-wont-play/.
I thought to Adeline Records but... they don't exist anymore: I couldn't reach their website and their phone seems to be disconnected, which makes sense because they apparently closed down in August 2017 after the band and their manager split.
So...I'll probably just return my copy to Newbury Comics. I hope no one else has this issue but if you do, please reply because I'm genuinely curious about what the heck is going on.
